Photographs and culling decisions stay in the app’s local workflow. SelectFrame does not operate a photo-upload service, require an app account, or include advertising or analytics SDKs in the current app.
Photographs and folder access
SelectFrame reads the photo folders you choose so it can show images and assess technical qualities such as sharpness and exposure on your device. It saves references to those folders so you can return to a shoot. Folder-based review does not modify source photographs.
Apple Photos imports
The system Photos picker provides only the items you select. SelectFrame copies the supplied image representations into its local storage for review. It does not change your Photos originals, albums, or Favorites. If an image is stored in iCloud, Apple may download it as part of providing your selection; that transfer is handled by Apple’s services.
Saved decisions and local storage
Shoot names, folder references, manual decisions, display rotations, and cached assessment results are saved in the app’s local application storage. Imported photo copies also use local storage. Automatic cross-device sync is not currently provided. Your operating system’s backup or cloud-file services may separately handle files according to your settings.
Exports and sharing
When you request an export, the app copies selected photographs to your chosen destination. Portable shoot files contain saved shoot information and decisions, rather than the photo files themselves. If you use a system share sheet or choose a cloud-backed folder, the destination service handles those files under its own privacy terms.
Removing information
Remove from Recents hides a shoot entry; it does not erase saved information or imported copies. The app currently has no dedicated library-erasure control. Contact support@selectframe.app for help removing local library data. Keep backups before removing app storage. Sean Burgess does not receive a copy of your local library through normal app use.
Support messages
If you email support@selectframe.app, Sean Burgess receives your email address, message, and any attachments you send. These are used to respond to your request and troubleshoot issues. Email is hosted by Spacemail. Support correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request and maintain relevant support records; you can ask for its deletion, subject to applicable retention obligations.
